To this end we are committed to continuing our move to the .NET framework from Microsoft. The integration of SQL Server, IIS, Web Services and Mobile computing provides us with some exciting new features which will provide access to your core data from any location that has wireless or internet connection.Already released in early 2006 :
- BookMine is now fully ONIX compliant, using Microsoft's SOAP to process XML imports and exports
- BookMine integrates seamlessly with TitlePage, the Australian Publishers Association's online price and availability service, using the XML features provided by the .NET platform.
We are committed to releasing the following features by the end of 2007:
- Secure access to data in your in-house database from anywhere in the world via Web services. These are being built using Microsoft's .NET framework, ensuring the highest level of authentication and security.
- Access to data from smart phones and PDAs running Windows Mobile Operating System from anywhere. This facility will provide our customers with secure access to their data no matter where they are via smart clients developed using Visual Studio's Web services. Whether you are on a train, sitting at a Cafe or wondering around a suppliers warehouse, you can check your stock levels and any other information you need to make the right decisions.
